I was at this small lake where I saw many ducks. It seemed, they were having fun… doing what they love doing – swimming. It was nice watching them perform their daily chores with much glee and chuckles.
At one corner, I saw these two fellas performing a wonderful duet. I watched them silently at first, then smiled at whatever they were trying to do and then went for my camera. All work and no play could make anyone dull. So I think, they must have been playing their version of Simon Says. Thanks God! I had my big camera to capture this hilarious moment of my life and a playful moment of theirs.
Flowers and buds;
skies and dove,
all demonstrate purity.
But pure was,
once a soul,
that wore a child’s body.
Like a million birds singing songs of praises,
it laughed happily
and reflected purity.
Sometimes lonesome can stand for one. However, it can also stand for being an individual as well. As I see a – single – bird flying up in the sky, I not only see it being alone but I see it enjoying its freedom, enjoying the space which has no bounds and in this enjoyment I see it becoming one with its creator.
But then comes togetherness, which also is a form of oneness, and that oneness – shows unity and in it lies singularity too . Unity again brings only one idea to my mind and that is number one. Being together in oneness not only brings forth additional beauty of anything but also demonstrates its strength and power. I see oneness in unity as it exhibits not only its own courage to stand together but also shows the manifestation of its creator with whose help it puts itself on display.
I sat waiting and watching at the time. Ten minutes or so had passed…there he was.
I wondered what he was trying to do, kneeling down instead of taking a seat.
Everything afterwards seemed like a dream come true as the soft flaky snow touched my skin. My hand in his…for all I saw, was a warm smile and a piece of cut polished ice moving from his hand to mine.
“You do listen to my ramblings.”
“Yes, I know you love snow. I knew you would like it here…this ways.”
Outside Ski World the sun sizzled in Dubai but what did I care…I kept staring at the dazzling white rock that sat on my finger.
If you are bored of doing the same things everyday, then do the same things everyday rather differently.
It was a hot dry day. I was in a car and stopped at this wonderful sight of yellow flowers that had lighted this small stretch of road.
I didn’t mind the heat as I stepped out of my car. I was quickly dissolved at the brightness of these flowers. As I saw the children of nature playing with the gentle breeze I smiled, and I think, they too, smiled at me. I took out my mobile camera and walked to get the angles right. I realized that before capturing it in my mobile I should capture it in my memory first. So, I walked for a few minutes or so.
It was a miracle. Why so…because, it seemed they knew of my coming….All the flowers were fresh and there were only a few petals scattered on the ground. I took a deep breath and filled myself with the essence of its freshness. I enjoyed the sunlight as it played hide and seek in between the spaces created by the yellows and greens. I peeped out of those spaces and the palette of the artist looked fun and playful with azure blue, lemon yellow and forest green scattered in a limited place.
I was lucky to have spared some time because I knew that the next time when ( or if) I’ll visit this place, it would be different as the nature is a submitting canvas in the hands of the creator who changes and colours the landscape with different hues every single minute.
But in reality, it was this moment that had lured me to witness and be a part of this miracle, and had spared me to be in that moment to marvel this beautiful sight.
